The scope of work at Vaatalya is based on operations, innovation & community building. Work exchange is the perfect option for those who want flexibility on their travels. Also it helps you to save cost & travel with a purpose.

Yes. You might require a higher level of knowledge and experience. If there's any doubt, you can check with us before accepting a position to avoid possible misunderstandings and negative feedback in the future.

Regardless of the kind of help or your level of experience, the most important thing is a genuine desire to contribute and collaborate with us. This is what will make the most difference in your work exchange experience.

04 steps of the selection process

Step 1: Pass the application screening

Step 2: Pass the phone screenings (1-2 rounds)

Step 3: Pass the video interviews (1-2 rounds)

Step 4: Pass the hiring committee reviews & get the offer

The below mentioned shall be the exclusions for the Work Exchange Program:

Salary (in cash): The work exchange experience is based on the idea of mutual help and collaboration, so there's no monetary exchange involved. This also guarantees that the relationship remains a cultural exchange, without the constraints of a work contract. While traveling, some people work as freelancers to help with their travel costs. Also, there is no circulation of money within the community as “payment for your work” however it’s our responsibility to provide for the regular needs of each person as much as possible.

Flight & other travel expenses: It's also the traveler's responsibility to book flights and any other kind of transportation necessary to arrive at Vaatalya. However, we can assist you in making the right travel decisions as we are located on a disconnected mountain top.
